Is there anywhere I can view details of a marriage cert without have to purchase a copy of it as I am not?

absolutely sure it's the right person. The marriage took place in 1914 would National Archives in Kew have details of it?Is there anywhere I can view details of a marriage cert without have to purchase a copy of it as I am not?
You could order from the GRO %26amp; ask for reference checking ie if you know bride's father's name, say you only want the cert if this matches. This costs 拢3 as opposed to 拢7 for the cert.

The other option is to try to find the same couple on the next census but you'd have to wait quite a while for one to be available. 1911 is currently the last available census.

The only way to actually view the details on the cert is to buy it, though.

PS The National Archives in Kew will not have a copy.Is there anywhere I can view details of a marriage cert without have to purchase a copy of it as I am not?
If it took place in a Town close to where you can access the local Register Office, you could try having a chat to the Superintendent Registrar there and explaining the problem of being unsure of the identity. It helps to know which Church or Chapel, or if it was a Register Office marriage, the event took place - different Registers.

I've found our local one and the one in the City where my ancestors originated very helpful.

Avoid visiting a Register Office on a Monday - they are usually very busy after a weekend.
Some parish registers are deposited with local records offices, but on the whole one has to buy the cert.
