Civil registration started around the end of 1837 so you don't get any marriage certs before then.

Easiest way - go to http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

and find the marriage on the index and write down the reference numbers, then follow the links on the bottom of the page

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certif鈥?/a>

Which will lead you to the GRO where you can order the certs.

I just ordered one to be delivered to Australia, cost 7 pound and only took 2 weeks to get here.Does anyone now how i can get hold of marriage certificates from 1832 onwards in the uk?Answers asap plz thanx?
Civil registration here in the UK became mandatory on 1st July 1837. Marriages prior to that will be recorded in the Parish Registers, there is minimal information on there though I'm afraid, just the name of the bride and groom and the date of marriage.

Hope this helps.
