Why is the right so adamantly against same-sex marriage?

Considering that it doesn't and can't affect them?

To put it bluntly, if you don't like same-sex marriages then don't have one and don't go to them. Why deny equality to others? Why is the right so adamantly against same-sex marriage?
It is not a religious question of right versus wrong because of separation of church and state. It is a political question of liberty and justice for all in a free society. What constitutes morality is a personal, individual choice. The choice of same-sex marriage should be between the two parties involved in the relationship, and based upon their principles. That choice should be made available from a political and secular view. Again, the GOP is trying to legislate their version of blanket morality for the entire nation. Why is the right so adamantly against same-sex marriage?
I will agree on Nikki on this one. I am not sure why the gays are so adamant about calling their union a marriage. Why do we need to change all the definitions in the dictionaries because they want to call it a marriage? Simply just call it something else.
I am against it because marriage is a holy ceremony not a state or federal ceremony. Key word in my last sentence was holy.
Marriage is defined as between a man %26amp; a woman.

call it something else.
The religious right wants to control other people's lives. Simple.
Their Jesus Rush Limbaugh told them so.
